How to use Trivia Book Generator
Follow these six steps to go from an empty dashboard to a print-ready trivia book. The buttons below jump straight into each part of the app.
- 1.Create a project
Everything starts with a project — one project is one trivia book.
- From your dashboard, click “New project” and give your book a title.
- Optionally seed it with categories from a previous book, or start fresh.
- Pick a clear theme and audience before writing — “80s Movies”, “Bible Trivia for Kids”, “Pub Quiz: Spain”. A tight theme makes every later step easier.
- 2.Build your questions
The Editor is where your book's content lives. Use it to add questions, import your own, or let AI draft them.
- Add questions manually — multiple choice, true/false, or open answer, each with an answer and an optional fun-fact explanation.
- Import CSV — bring in questions you've already written in a spreadsheet.
- Generate with AI — describe the topic and pick a difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, or Challenging). You can set difficulty for the whole book and override it per category, and regenerate a category's questions if you don't like the first batch.
- Always review AI-generated questions for accuracy and originality before publishing.
- 3.Set up your book
Book Settings controls how your book looks and what pages it includes.
- Fonts & sizes — 10 font choices, body sizes from 12 to 18 pt for large print, plus separate sizes for book titles, category headings, questions, and the answer key.
- Difficulty — set the default difficulty that AI generation uses.
- Optional pages — include or remove the Final Thoughts page, add a sign-up QR code page, or insert custom blank/image pages with your own logo (drag-and-drop ordering, fit and crop controls).
- Export options — turn off clickable links if you're printing a paperback.
- 4.Preview your book
Check exactly how the pages will look before you export.
- The Preview shows your real fonts, sizes, and page layout as they'll appear in the PDF.
- Look for long questions that wrap awkwardly, and check that each round fits comfortably on its pages.
- 5.Design a cover
The Cover Creator (available on Pro plans) produces a print-ready cover PDF.
- Choose a front cover or a full wrap (back, spine, and front in one file).
- Pick a KDP trim size or enter custom dimensions, and adjust the bleed.
- Spine text requires a book of 100+ pages — the tool checks this for you based on your page count and paper type.
- 6.Export
Download files ready for printing or sharing.
- PDF — a print-ready interior with all fonts embedded, answer keys, and an index.
- DOCX — an editable Word file if you want to fine-tune in another tool.
- For paperback publishing, switch off clickable links in Settings first so the export is print-friendly.
Your account
Plans, usage, and billing at a glance.
Yes — a free account is required to use the editor. AI question generation is a Pro feature.
Pro accounts include a monthly question-generation allowance, shown on your Account & usage page. When you use it up, you can purchase additional credit packs — credits never expire and are consumed only after the monthly allowance.
Open Account & usage from the menu under your initials. It shows questions generated this month, your remaining credit balance, your purchase history with downloadable receipts, and buttons to buy more credits. Open Account & usage →
Go to the Pricing page to compare plans and upgrade. Your current plan, renewal date, and billing details are also shown on the Account & usage page. View Pricing →
